My 53lbs bulldog has discharge and redness in both eyes. I don’t have much money for a vet so would amoxicillin 500mg be appropriate to treat it?. Or what would you recommend?

Hi, one of my dogs, Dexter, has thrown up two or three times in total in the last few days. His appetite is still normal and he's still drinking water, however I noticed that he has been drooling more than normal too. Should I be concerned? Or should I continue him on a plain diet for a few more days and see how he's doing from there? Thank you for your help!
