Hello I have a 15 month old pup who broke his leg 10 months ago, he has 3 pins in it now. We’ve just noticed that one of the pins is sticking out of his knee and it looks very sore. He is able to walk on the leg but has stopped jumping up on things.

Ouch! I would keep Sonny confined and contact your vet asap. Sometimes the pins will work their way out of the bone and need to be removed. Usually this doesn't cause any problems since the bone is already healed. Your vet will likely want to take some X-rays to see what the surround bone looks like and he may need to be sedated to have it removed.
