Went to the vet today. Dog has heartworms. Vet is doing a pre-treatment to heartworm treatment. He is very lethargic. Can barely walk…not eating or drinking. Peeing blood. Looks like he’s just dying. Idk what else to do. He was perfectly fine just yesterday.

Oh goodness. Based on the blood work Luke is very anemic and his platelet count is very low as well. This is highly concerning and can be fatal. I am concerned that his body is attacking his red blood cells and platelets. I think based on what you describe Luke could be in critical condition and in a life threatening situation. I would highly encourage you to take him to an emergency clinic immediately. He may need a blood transfusion. This could be all due to the heartworm disease, but if so it has triggered a more life threatening situation at this time. Eventually the heartworm disease will need to be addressed , but right now he needs immediate attention to get his red blood cells and platelets back up to safe number.
