Yesterday and this MORNING my dog has hacked up some yellow vomit. Not too thick and very small amount but the color is yellow and it’s only in the morning that I’ve noticed. I don’t feed her anything but dog food and wondering why she started this

Poor Panda! It sounds like she may be suffering from some acid reflux. The yellow vomit is bile. This color vomit and vomiting in the morning are most common with acid reflux. This happens because over night is the longest time they go without food and some dogs will form too much acid in their stomachs over night which causes them to be sick before they eat breakfast. I would start feeding her later in the evening - approximately 20-30 minutes before bed time. I would then give her 5mg of pepcid (aka famotidine) right before bed. In the morning, I would feed her as soon as you wake up. If it continues to happen despite these changes, I would have your vet take a look at her to ensure nothing else is going on. Your vet will be able to do blood work and x-rays if needed and get her started on some different meds if needed. I hope this helps!
