There are many other things that can cause lethargy, weight loss and stumbling including high thyroid, nutritional deficits, toxins, spinal problems, certain infections and much more. I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to test him for FIV, do other bloodwork, and even x-rays if needed.
