My cat goes to poop in the litter box but will only pee on soft stuff. He used to go in the litter box and I have tried various litters. What can I do to get him to go pee in the litter box. Also, we have scratching posts and a cat tree for him but he prefers to scratch up the carpet on the floor. Please help.
