Hi I think my dog has an infection in his paw can you please let me know if I’m right and what I can do about it? I have applies saline solution and he still has a healthy appetite but it seems to be getting worse and because of Xmas I cannot take him to the vet for a couple of days.

yes it does appear infected and the pad tissue has actually sloughed and this area takes longer to heal than regular skin due to the thickness. You can try to soak in warm water to help with swelling and get the bad tissue off. From there you can get an e collar to prevent him from licking it and apply Neosporin and cortisone cream to help heal it until you can get him to a vet. Sometimes a medicated powder works well since it is an area that traps moisture
