An autoimmune condition is certainly suspicious here. However, if the wounds aren't healing well we may have resistance. The best diagnostic tool to do next here would be a biopsy and culture of the area. The culture can let us know what antibiotic will clear the infection and a biopsy can help us confirm the underlying skin condition present so that we can knkow what treatment is also needed for that. I would also recommend some baseline bloodwork to get an overall health assessment of Jackie as well.
