Eevee has been having problems using the litter box this week. She seems to pee on her foot and then it gets coated in litter, so she is running around the house scattering litter. Aside from clearing out the old waste from all the boxes (I have been cleaning them 2x daily in case it was too much clutter but that is not what the problem is I guess), what could help her with her peeing issue? We do plan to spay her after the holidays as money is currently tight, which may help, we know.

Since Eevee is still young it is possible that she is still learning how to use the litterbox effectively without creating a mess. However, this could also be a sign of an underlying problem. If she is having small frequent urinations or urinations in an abnormal place it is possible that she may have a UTI. If possible I would recommend having her seen by her veterinarian to rule out that there is an underlying problem.

One other thing to try would be switching the type of litter that is used. There are litters that are made with substances other than clay - some out of paper or pellets. These may prevent Eevvee from making such a mess in the house.
