My dog has a hotspot, he’s been given steroid cream, it seems to be drying up the hot spot but now he just stays in the same spot all day and isn’t his normal self

If the skin looks to be improving, but he seems to not feel well then I would be suspicious that something else may be going on. Painful somewhere or sick perhaps. I would encourage you to have a follow up appointment with your veterinarian. Best of luck and I hope he improves quickly.
