My dog max, an approx 75 pound chocolate lab has had loose stools since Tuesday. We’ve been feeding him the typical chicken and rice diet since it began (he likes to eat anything in sight so diarrea is a common). Wednesday night he got half a cup of his food since he had a semi normal stool but since yesterday morning the stool is almost pure liquid and it’s yellow. I don’t know if it’s still food intolerance or if it’s something I need to take him into the vet for.

Poor Max! I’m sorry to hear he isn’t feeling well.
Given his history of dietary indiscretion you have done the right thing by limiting his regular food and using a bland diet. Given that things have gotten worse for him, and that it is rapidly approaching a holiday weekend I would strongly recommend you take him in for a checkup with your regular vet. They can do a thorough physical exam and likely will want to check a stool sample under the microscope to look for worm eggs, bugs like coccidia, and to assess the bacterial content. It sounds like Max may need some medication such as antibiotics for the inflammation in his gut, and probiotics to help rebalance things. Your vet may also prescribe other medications based on the findings of the stool sample.
I hope Max feels better soon!
