My 1 year old pit bull (75 lbs or so) ate a small piece of chocolate brownie it was bigger than a crumb but smaller then a square piece

Hi there, I recently got my cat neutered this past Wednesday. Since his surgery he has had difficulty swallowing, he has gagged a lot but has not puked up anything since the day after, and he has been shaking a lot... he is now making a loud crackling noise when he breathes, I am very worried.. should I be concered or is this normal post op?
