I asked earlier about some worms I saw on the pup. The vet said appeared to be tapeworms. Now my question is Is it safe for me to have the puppy around the small kids? I will be taking him In for his first check up until Tuesday since I got him As an Xmas present for them yesterday. Really don’t know if it’s ok for the pup to be around?

They should be fine as long as the kids wash their hands before eating. Also I would try to prevent the puppy from licking them in the mouth if possible. I would also pick up the puppy’s poop and discard of it until after he is dewormed. Dogs get tape worms by ingesting fleas so also make sure you get him started on a high quality flea product like frontline plus’s, comfortis, or bravecto. I hope this helps!
