My cat seems to have gotten into a fight with the neighboring cat. As a result he got quite a nasty bite on his left shoulder. My parents refuse to take him to the vet because of COVID-19. A few days in and the open wound got to the size of a penny. It managed to heal over but he keeps on licking it. As a result there are a few self inflicted wounds. I took a look at it today and it seems to of gotten ¨squishy¨ and painful to the touch. I want to know how to make him feel better with house items

It sounds like Boots may have an abscess, and this does need to be treated by a vet. Please tell your parents that you spoke to a vet who said he needs to see a vet immediately.
